Spring hasn’t quite sprung, but the trail and ultrarunning season is in full swing in early March.

There were several notable races this past weekend, including the Transgrancanaria Classic 126k in the Canary Islands, the Andes Mountain Skyrace in Chile, and dozens of races across the U.S.—ranging from the Antelope Canyon Ultras in Arizona, the Red Mountain 50K in Utah, and the Stump Jump 50k in Tennessee.

Also, Rachel Tomajczyk celebrated  a 10K trail race win as a pregnant runner, Jim Walmsley ran a speedy half marathon in Paris, and a lot of new trail gear has dropped. Plus, trail runners Alice Timbrooks and Ella Rocker offer an amusing look at the Venn diagram of being sober and being an endurance athlete. Yesterday was International Women’s Day, but there’s plenty of time to enjoy women’s trail running events referenced in this article. And speaking of yesterday, Finn Melanson, the founder of the Singletrack platform, turned in a fast result at the Los Angeles Marathon.
