Want to go trail running in the Alps? Epic guided tours are available for fall 2026 and summer 2027 with Run the Alps.
Trail running in the Alps feels like stepping into another world entirely—one morning you’re climbing switchbacks toward a glacier-carved pass, the next you’re winding through centuries-old farming valleys where cows still graze the same high pastures shepherds have used for generations.
Far from the pace of home and the routine of your local trails, when you’re trail running in the Alps as part of a guided tour, the days blur together in the best way: big alpine views, friendly and deeply knowledgeable guides who know every hut, hidden trail and photo-op view, and evenings spent recovering over hearty local meals with a group of strangers who quickly start to feel like friends. It’s equal parts fitness vacation and life-changing adventure—you come home stronger, but you also come home forever inspired by the mountains, the culture, and the sense that you’ve touched something old and enduring in the heart of Europe.
If you’ve been dreaming of trail running through the high peaks of Switzerland and France but assumed this year’s window had closed, there’s good news: Run the Alps still has a handful of spots left on its August, September and October 2026 guided tours.
Run the Alps builds fully supported, small-group trail running trips through the mountains of Switzerland, France, and Italy—no route-finding, no logistics headaches, no worry of falling behind, just epic trail running with a licensed mountain guide, good food, and a comfortable bed waiting at the end of each day. Guests get daily guided runs, meals, luggage transfers between towns, and a mix of high alpine trails, cozy mountain huts, and village hotels.
