Chris Ritter
Why I Run
Running has always been what lets me feel most present in a place. Life can always throw things at you that take your mind away from what's in front of you, but no matter where I've lived — Virginia, Maine, or New York City — running has made me feel more connected to that place than I've felt without it.
My favorite trail to run
Cole Mountain in Amherst County, Virginia. If you know, boy, do you know.
What I hope to convey in my writing
Appreciation for little things, empathy towards people and the earth, and permission to be joyful.
