Blake Cohen, UltraSignup's resident Pennsylvania-based Dirt Artist, finds his happy place on the trails. When he's not working on UltraSignup's Member Ops team, you'll find him volunteering with the Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance or out playing in the Rocksylvania Wilds—solo, or roped into "just one more loop" with a pack of runners. Proof that between volunteering, planning, and race directing, best bad decisions are kind of his specialty. He loves trail running because it lets him enjoy nature in a raw and simple way. Running keeps him healthy and happy. Living in the "PA Wilds" of central Pennsylvania, he has access to some of the best and most varied trails. When he travels, running is his favorite way to explore new cities and their trails. "It's a fun way to see new places and meet new people," he says. His favorite place to run is the Eagleton Mine Camp Trail, a Pennsylvania route that serves as part of the course of a trail race he helped start in 2016. "The section dropping into Baker Run is especially beautiful at dawn and dusk, with amazing views and a peaceful vibe," he says.
