For nearly two decades, the TransRockies Run captivated trail runners worldwide with its rugged seven-day odyssey across Colorado’s high country. And in August 2025, the team at TransRockies Run put on the final edition of the original format. However, don’t be mistaken, TransRockies Run is not gone, it’s been reimagined as a shorter three day event.

Introducing: TransRockies Run – Pass to Pub

This brand-new three-day stage race captures the magic of the legendary TransRockies Run in a shorter, but every bit as unforgettable, format. It’s long enough to feel like a true mountain adventure, but compact enough to fit into a busy summer season.

See The Event

Over three days, you’ll trace ribbons of pristine singletrack beneath some of Colorado’s tallest 14ers, with sweeping views of the Arkansas River Valley unfolding around every turn. Each stage is fully supported, so you can focus on soaking in the alpine air and mountain views, not logistics.

After every stage, the celebration continues at camp. Unwind with trail friends new and old over recovery sessions, massages, and meals that hit the spot after a big day in the mountains. Think of it as trail running glamping at its finest: cozy tents, hot showers, live music, and starlit nights framed by the Rocky Mountain skyline.

This is more than a race, it’s a three-day immersion in the best of Colorado summer: big trails, big views, and a community that feels like family.

What Is a Stage Race—And Is It Right for You?

A stage race is trail running’s perfect blend of endurance, adventure, and community. Instead of tackling one ultra-long day, you’ll cover big miles over multiple consecutive days—each called a stage—with times added up for an overall result.

TransRockies Pass to Pub gives you two ways to take on the mountains:

  • Full Pint: 51 miles (82 km) with 9,635 ft (2,937 m) of vertical gain
  • Half Pint: 35 miles (56 km) with 6,855 ft (2,089 m) of vertical gain

Who’s It For?

  • The Adventurers: Runners ready to test their endurance with back-to-back mountain efforts—and discover just how strong they really are.
  • The Social Crew: Friends, families, or running buddies who want to turn their race into a shared mountain vacation, where the fun keeps rolling long after the finish line.
  • The Experience Seekers: Trail runners who crave big miles and big vibes—think alpine singletrack, well-stocked aid stations, post-run massages, live music, and communal dinners under the stars.

If you love long days on the trail and the idea of stringing a few together sounds like bliss, you’ll fit right in at Pass to Pub. Three days. Endless views. Unforgettable memories.

Where You’ll Run: The Colorado Rockies at Their Most Spectacular

Pass to Pub takes you straight into the heart of Colorado’s high country, a point-to-point journey through some of the most iconic terrain in North America. Over three unforgettable stages, you’ll trace the Continental Divide, climb toward thin alpine air, and descend through wildflower meadows, pine forests, and high mountain passes that define the spirit of the Rockies.

Each day brings a new landscape and a new story:

  • Stage 1: Cross the Continental Divide and drink in sweeping views of Colorado’s towering fourteeners.
  • Stage 2: Explore classic Leadville-area trails, including the legendary Hope Pass segment—a pilgrimage for mountain runners everywhere.
  • Stage 3: Finish strong in Red Cliff, Colorado, a historic mining town tucked deep in the valley, home to fewer than 300 residents and a post-race party you won’t forget.

With the seamless TransRockies shuttle system, you’ll start each day on fresh trail and return to basecamp at Nova Guides to kick back in ChillVille, the race’s beloved recovery zone.

Camp Vibes, Support, and Shared Joy

The magic of a stage race lives in its rhythm: wake up, run hard, then rest and reconnect. Each afternoon, you’ll roll back into camp to refuel, recover, and swap stories with runners from around the world.

Camping packages make it easy to stay right in the heart of the action—complete with cozy tents, hearty meals, and hot showers. At ChillVille, you’ll find everything you need to unwind: comfy lounge chairs, snacks, phone chargers, live music, and an endless supply of good vibes (plus a cold beer or two, non-alcoholic options included).

This isn’t just a race, it’s a moving mountain festival, a celebration of effort, community, and the joy of sharing trails together beneath Colorado’s vast summer sky.
