Renowned podcast host and bestselling author Rich Roll will serve as a keynote speaker at TrailCon 2026 June 22-24 at the Palisades Tahoe resort in Olympic Valley, California.

TrailCon is a three-day festival and industry gathering designed to bring together the trail running community for education, innovation, and inspiration. The event, held between the June 18-21 Broken Arrow Skyrace and the June 27-28 Western States 100, is open to brand representatives, race directors, land managers, content creators, media, outdoor enthusiasts, and all levels of runners from age-groupers to elite-athletes.

The theme of this year’s event is “Shaping the Future.” In addition to Roll’s keynote speech, TrailCon will feature industry panels, brand activations, fun runs, and networking sessions for stakeholders. Travis Tygart, CEO of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, has also been announced as a keynote speaker.

Roll, 58, is widely recognized as one of the most influential voices in endurance sports and plant-based performance.

A former collegiate swimmer and entertainment attorney, Roll overcame addiction and reinvented himself as an elite ultra-distance triathlete in his 40s and became a transformative example of courageous and healthy living. His memoir, Finding Ultra, and his long-running podcast, The Rich Roll Podcast, have cultivated a global community of millions who look to him not only for athletic inspiration but for guidance on living a more intentional and purpose-driven life.

In his keynote address, Roll is expected to speak on themes of resilience, transformation, and the unique spiritual dimension that long-distance trail running offers to those willing to push their limits. Conference organizers say the talk will be the centerpiece of a packed two-day program featuring clinics on nutrition, injury prevention, gear innovation, and race strategy.

“Rich embodies everything TrailCon stands for,” says Freetrail CEO Dylan Bowman, one of the co-organizers of the event. “He’s someone who has genuinely walked the walk—or rather, run the run—and his story resonates with anyone who has ever stood at the base of a mountain and wondered what they’re truly capable of.”
