This episode of Behind the Bib heads to North Conway, New Hampshire, home of the Kismet Cliff Run, a September tradition set against the rugged beauty of the White Mountains. Runners choose between the Beast of the East Half-Marathon—possibly one of the hardest half marathons in the U.S.—and the Little Beast 5-Miler, hosted by Six03 Endurance. The course climbs steep, technical terrain over Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges, routes that more than earn the race its “cliff run” name. ⛰️
This episode follows Shelby Farrell (@shelbzzf), a runner, cat mom, and marketing professional whose creative and athletic journey has taken her from 250-mile desert ultras to the granite peaks of New England. Shelby’s Kismet experience captures the balance of beauty, grit, and pure mountain joy that defines trail running at its best.
