I’ve been running for most of my adult life and have run marathons, trail races, and plenty of long training runs wearing a variety of sports bras. While getting the appropriate shoes for your workout or race can be a big factor in how you run, having the right sports bra is even more impactful. In fact, studies have shown that less bounce in the chest area minimises the energy cost during training and racing, and can reduce back pain confirming that the right underwear is crucial to performance.

I’ve spent the past several weeks wear-testing the Compressport Feelfree Seamless Bra ($65), an ultra-soft sports bra designed for running and other endurance sports with a seamless design that offers medium support and moderate compression for women with A and B cup sizes. It caught my attention after it was named the Product of the Year in the 2025 Trail Running Awards organized by the French media brand Mile & Stone.

With a soft supportive fabric across the chest and more structured material on the sides, the
Compressport Feelfree Seamless Bra strikes an ideal balance of athletic support and multi-hour comfort. Its innovative construction features super soft, quick-drying fabric that sits soft against the skin and fends off any irritation. Strategic mesh areas in the front and back ensure maximum optimal airflow and breathability as you start to sweat. Also, the slightly longer design can easily accommodate wearing a heart rate monitor underneath.

After numerous runs, a couple of uphill skiing sessions, and some indoor cycling, I’m really impressed with this sports bra. It provides excellent compression and support while still allowing my ribcage to fully expand when breathing, which is something I don’t often find in other models of running bras. It feels comfortable against the skin with no friction, rubbing, or pressure points, even during longer workouts. It’s snug enough to feel supportive but still very comfortable, and it’s also easy to put on and take off.

I absolutely love the bright yellow color—it’s my favorite sports bra color because it’s fun and highly visible. (It is available in lime yellow, lavender, and black.) After four washes, the color has held up well so far, which I’m happy about since bras in this shade tend to fade quickly. I’m hoping it continues to maintain its vibrancy.

One small downside: I’ve noticed a few loose threads along the upper neck/collar area after washing, even though I always hang my sports bras to dry. Overall though, this is a comfortable, supportive, and well-designed sports bra that I have really enjoyed wearing on its own or under a baselayer top.
